About Grace

Grace Kingswell – MA (Hons) Cantab D.N.MED

I’m a Nutritional Therapist specialising in fertility and gut health, with a keen interest in everything to do with babies and children.

I’ve been working one-on-one with clients for over 5-years, and more recently, I’ve branched out into the group coaching space. Since having my son in 2022, I’ve found the best way to make an impact is to do group coaching, as I’m time-poor these days - but still incredibly passionate!

My journey with chronic health issues is what kick-started my career in Nutritional Therapy, using Functional Medicine to get to the root cause of my problems. I know what it’s like to hit rock bottom, so I come at this with great compassion for my clients. We also went through IVF to conceive our son, but luckily my specialist training with The Fertility Nutrition Centre meant that I was well equipped to manage the process for myself and my husband.

Whilst I’m not working directly with couples that are trying to conceive at the moment (something to do with childcare and lack of time!), it is something that I will start doing again - watch this space!

I’m currently finishing a MSc in Nutritional Therapy and Lifestyle medicine at the University of Worcester, (yes I am slightly crazy to be doing this with a toddler and no childcare!), but the grounding in research and critically evaluating the medical literature is broadening my scope as a practitioner. I take a very broad approach to nutrition and lifestyle medicine, relying heavily on things like getting your light environment right, getting you more grounded and connected to the earth (yes, that means taking your shoes off), as well as of course helping clients to optimise their diet. It’s not enough to just focus on food and supplements. We are interconnected beings, we take our energy from the sun, and we connect to the Earth via a magnetic current. With such a polluted, toxic world to live in, we all need some help to down-regulate and encouragement to usher in practices to our daily lives that fully support us as humans.

“I use functional testing along with dietary and lifestyle advice in my clinical practice, plus supplements if necessary. We are all individuals, so we need an individualised approach.”

For now, my efforts are focused on helping parents understand how to build solid food foundations for their babies and children. Beyond the Breast: Foundations of Food for Babies and Children is an online course that I’ve developed to provide the answers to some of the questions parents have that go unanswered in our public health discourse.
